Guidelines for Authors

Posters constitute short reports on scientific results or professional news or work in progress.

Prospective poster authors submit abstracts (300 words) including the essence of the planned presentation. The abstract can be submitted in either DOCX or PDF format, but no special formatting guidelines apply in this stage. References, tables and figures are acceptable in the abstract. References are in addition to the 300-words limit.

Following a peer-review process, a decision is communicated to the authors within a week. The review process of the HCI International Conference is not double-blind. The name and contact details of the author(s) that are associated with the abstract are given to the reviewers.

After acceptance, the authors, apart from presenting their work during the Conference, will also have the opportunity of having an extended poster abstract (typically 6 pages but no less than 4 and no more than 8 pages, in the form of short research paper) included in the "HCII 2019 Late Breaking Work" Springer CCIS Proceedings to be published just after the conference, depending on the time of submitting their proposal.

Deadline for abstract submission:
Submission open until 24 May 2019

Abstract length: 300 words

Notification of review outcome:
1 week after submission

Deadline for camera-ready submission and registration: 14 June 2019

Registration Regulation

In order to provide a greater opportunity for more people to present at the Conference, multiple submissions by single authors or by the same author with multiple accounts, cannot be accepted. Co-authors may appear on multiple Posters, but each accepted Poster, or poster, with multiple co-authors should have a different Conference registrant.

For poster presentation at the Conference and inclusion of the poster extended abstract in the "HCII 2019 Late Breaking Work" Springer CCIS Proceedings, at least one registration per poster is required by 14 June 2019.

For poster presentation of Late Breaking Work submissions at the Conference, at least one registration per proposal is required by 14 June 2019.
